Welcome to the Bedford Documentary Film Festival. We are now in our third year and looking forward to showing your submitted documentary films if selected for screening.
Bedford is a market town 50 miles north of London with a rich history. Our festival was held at the Bunyan Meeting on 1st July 2023. The Bunyan Meeting is now in its 350th year and was founded by John Gifford with links to John Bunyan the writer of The Pilgrim’s Progress. John was imprisoned on Bedford Town Bridge for his reformist views – a documentary in itself.
We are accepting entries world-wide but any non English language documentary films will require subtitles. We are now looking forward to seeing you on 12th October 2024.
The BDFF was set up by documentary producer and director, Jason Gurr. He has been making documentaries for National TV, the British Film Institute as well as online for the past 13 years.
